Prasoon Joshi Honoured With a Doctorate By Uttarakhand Kumaun University
Prasoon joshi was awarded Doctor of Literature degree an honoris causa at the recently held convocation ceremony in Nanital by the Governer of Uttarakhand, Mr Joshi’s was acknowledged not only for his achievements in the field of music, communication and cinema in India but also for putting India on the global map through his thoughts and creative ideas.
Prasoon joshi is a highly respected name as a writer, poet and communication leader. He is a Padma award recipient (one of the 4 highest civilian honours in India), also 2 time recipient of national film award. He has also won many filmfare, iffa, screen awards. In the world of communication and advertising Prasoon joshi is considered one of most respected names in India and globally and has been honoured consistently for many years now.
Under his leadership the global communication organisation McCann world group is consistently the most awarded advertising communication company in India. He spoke eloquently about the influence of Nature and culture in his creative work be it in his poetry advertising or cinema.
Speaking on this Prasoon Joshi said: I want to thank the Kumaoun university for conferring this honour. Kumaon has a special place in my heart. I’ve always tried to do justice to all my roles and responsibilities. I hope to stay worthy of the honour.
